Meetings and events

2023

Meetings are usually held on the third Sunday of each month, 1:00-4:00 pm at the Garden Club Room of the San Francisco County Fair Building, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. The room is open starting at 12 pm – come early and meet our members! Enter from parking lot North side of 10th Avenue and Lincoln Way, turn right through gate next to building, go to third door. Visitors are welcome. Come join us!

In-person + Zoom: We are currently running meetings simultaneously in-person and on Zoom. If you are not able to join us in person and would like to join on Zoom, please contact us to RSVP and receive a link to join. 

Meeting dates for 2023

NOTE: The membership voted to dissolve the San Francisco Gesneriad Society at the July 16, 2023 meeting. The web site and social media pages will continue up for the foreseeable future, as well as the sfgesneriads mailing list. Please contact us if you would like to join the mailing list.

San Mateo Garden Center Plant Sale & Craft Fair, April 30

NOTE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, SFGS will not be present at this event.

Delta Gesneriad and African Violet Show and Sale: Saturday and Sunday, September 16–17

Delta Gesneriad and African Violet Society is holding a Show and Sale on Saturday and Sunday, September 16–17.

Event location: Shepard Garden & Art Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95816.

Event times (tentative): Saturday Sep 16, 1–4 pm; Sunday Sep 17, 11am–3pm.

Holiday Luncheon

We usually hold a Holiday Luncheon in December, instead of a regular meeting.

NOTE: There are no current plans to hold a Holiday Luncheon in 2023.
