Program: Dog Show
April Meeting
by Terri Campbell
For our April meeting, please bring anything interesting and/or blooming for Show & Tell, and of course donations of plants or cuttings for the raffle table.
Also, check any substandard plants you may have. Please bring your gnarliest and least attractive candidate for a "Dog Show." We will all participate in judging the candidates on Legginess, Gross Neglect, Worst Case of Potbinding, General Icky Qualities, and best "Thing That Wouldn't Die." A doggy winner will be selected, and awarded with a prize.
We will also have a brief visit to the Botanical Garden, which is, at the moment, still free to visitors, to view some choice specimens.
Name That Show!
by Terri Campbell
At our June meeting, we will vote on the name for our September show. Be thinking about those catchy names. You may submit them to Terri Campbell at any time from now until a last opportunity at our June meeting, when we will vote. There will be a prize!

Treasurers Report: We are still in good financial condition. We have rejoined Brazil Plants, and will be paying our 1st quarter rental for our meetings, and the balance due on the rental for our May 30 plant sale and display. As soon as we get the contract we will pay the deposit on the rental of the Auditorium for our September Show and Sale. If you wish a copy of the latest Treasurer’s Report please contact Gene Sussli
Minutes: There were no corrections to the minutes.
Announcements: We need a new flyer for our May 30 Plant Sale and Display. David Waugh said he will put one together and send it to everyone for comments and approval.
The African Violet Society will have a national convention in Sparks Nevada April 15-19. It was suggested rather than taking a long automobile ride to Sparks, to take AMTRAK.
The Program was a slide show of the 2005 Gesneriad Society Convention in Portland, Oregon .
After a short break we did the Show and Tell
The raffle brought many new and exciting plants for members.
The meeting adjourned about 3:45pm
